Vines and Darkness and Trickery

Demo level is nearing completion. Can't decide whether to add a box puzzle or not.

I've just built up the newest section. This is the bit that'll properly introduce the player to vines and their purpose. The fairy is going to be helping you along with symbolic instructions and perhaps a couple of meepy sounds.

The timing is good. Mihai's just finished the technical side of vine growth on walls and on enemies. Though we haven't got the art for them sorted (Murilo's had his hands busy rigging and animating our enemy model, plus re-texturing it for the second enemy).

Here's the vines so far, though don't let these trick you into thinking they'll look this... er.... rough.



We're getting pretty close though. We've got our short term goals all nicely laid out in a document that should help us keep things moving. 

We're putting in climbing next, and then it'll be about getting the fire and fire enemy stuff ready to go. The fire enemy, besides just being a threat to the player, will also provide a valuable source of light. So that we can start working, I've had to put together a little dark level for tests. In the screenshot below, you can also see that the fairy does her part to provide limited light to the player. 



But the fairy won't always be available!
